Amethyst

Amethyst is a purple variety of quartz and owes its violet colour to irradiation, iron impurities (in some cases in conjunction with transition element impurities), and the presence of trace elements, which result in complex crystal lattice substitutions.

It teaches us to trust the power of the universe. Its slight vibrations soothe and induce a state in which fear, worry and anger dissolve, and the soul can open up to higher knowledge. This state of peaceful serenity is hidden in the core of our being and in the outer world too. It is an origin of all things.
In its purple colour combines the red fire of life force, senses and activity with the blue light of purity of spirit, peace and infinity. This makes the amethyst bridge between Earth and Heaven and provides access to new dimensions of existence. By uniting the opposing forces of red and blue, it brings balance and stability to the relationship between man and woman.
Under the influence of amethyst, it is easier to receive the secrets of life that are unintelligible with mind alone. This stone clarifies visions, dreams, and predictions for the future.
